Limited interest
Sir: A number of us here in hedonistic Sydney, so far from Gstaad, are puzzled, and more, by Alastair Forbes's first sent- ence (Diary, 16 March) for we are unsure just who has the limited circle of friends and who has only the occasional yacht trip, as, syntactically, it would appear to be the Queen, which news coming directly after the attack by her pack of crazed killer corgis, is surely tragic, although we feared, initially, that Mr Forbes may have been referring to Taki, a proposition rejected as self-evidently absurd since his circle, cer- tainement, couldn't possibly be described, even in the most refined parts of the Bernese Oberland, as limited, and the only other candidate is Ali himself.
