Dr. Henry C. Lea publishes a third edition of his

History of Sacerdotal Celibacy, 2 vols. (Williams and Norgate, 21s. net). This work was first published in 1867, and now appears with some additions. Dr. Lea's reputation for impartiality and a judicial temper, needed in this as much as in any subject, stands high, and the reader will find that it is not undeserved.
