I notice that there is a practice of wearing somewhat unorthodox clothes by the women members of this staff.
I should be glad if you will discontinue this habit as I prefer that the women members will come on duty in what can be regarded as normal women's clothing.
[Signature illegible.] Air Raid Precautions Controller."
The abnormal women's clothing in question was, I under- stand, slacks—in which no war could be won. jANUS.
