[To the Editor of the SrEcTAxon] SIR,—A clergyman, wishing to

bring comfort to the mourners standing round the grave, started a well-known hymn, expecting that others would join in the singing. To his dismay he was left to sing it as a solo. As he was leaving the church after the service one of the mourners came up to him and said : "Thank you, sir, for the entertainment."—I am, Sir, &c., Cerro/4.
