On Wednesday, at the Economic Conference of the Imperial Conference,

Mr. Lloyd-Greame announced that the Government would recommend to Parliament some further preferences within the existing fiscal system. The taxes proposed on foreign products in order to create preferences in favour of the Dominions are :- Raw apples—Ss. per cwt.

Canned salmon-10s. per ewt. Fruit juices (including lime juiee)-6t1. per gallon. Honey-10s. per cwt.

The preference on Dominion tobacco would be raised from one-sixth to one-fourth.
