Mrs. Strang's Annual for Girls consists mostly of school stories

of the type that represents school life more as a setting for games than for work, and so may prove somewhat mis- leading to girls who have not gone to school as juniors. The little stories are pleasant if not exciting reading, and there are articles on enamelling, motor-cycling and wild birds. The print is not very easy to read, as it is thick and not sharp in outline. The volume is fully illustrated in black-and-white and has some coloured pictures
