REFORM WAGGERY.—A hoax was played off on Tuesday on the sexton of Petersfield. In the morning he received a letter, informing him that a funeral would pass through for inter- ment in the Isle of Wight, and desiring that the church-bell might be tolled muffled, beginning at nine in the morning. The bell was tolled accordingly; but as no procession arrived, it is conjectured that the funeral alluded to was no other than that of Lady Rottenborough, whose remains were in such a state of decom- position as not to admit of removal, and were therefore interred in St. Stephen's Chapel, Westminster.
