FLOWERS FOR THE LONDON HOSPITALS.
[TO THE EDITOR OF THE 'SP ROTATOH.."]
San,—May I draw your attention to a scheme of collecting flowers which is being successfully worked at Pinner ? Every Thursday morning baskets are placed in a prominent position on the plat- form of the railway station, to which the residents of the neighbourhood bring flowers from their gardens. These are then packed by the railway officials and forwarded to the London hospitals. I am informing you of this arrangement because there must be many of your readers possessing beautiful gardens who would be only too pleased either to start such a scheme, or to contribute flowers if the organisation wore made.—I am, Sir, &c.,
Myrlledene, Love Lane, Pinner. FRANK WELCH.
P.S.—I shall be happy to send any of your readers printed particulars of the scheme.
