EDITOR OP THE "SPECTATOR."] SIR,—The quotation beginning "The kiss of the stn for pardon" is from a poem called " God's Garden," written by

D. T. Gurney. The correct version of the third line is :— " One is nearer God's heart in a garden."

The poem has been set to music by F. Lambert (Chappell and College Gardens, Belfast.
