Spectator Competition for Schools
The Spectator offers three prizes, each of books to the value of eight guineas, for articles to be written by boys and girls in schools In the United Kingdom. Entries should be in the form of A Spectator Leading Article, or A Middle Article, or A Review Article on any book which has appeared in the past three years.
Articles, which need not be typed, should be of about 1,200 words and must reach the Spectator office (99 Gower Street, W.C.1) by JANUARY 31st, 1954, (NOT December 31st, 1953, as first announced). The name of the entrant's school should be given at the head of the article, and envelopes should be marked "Schools."
