A large portion of our columns is devoted to an
account of the curious and important trial of EDWARD OxFoan for high treason ; which terminated last night, in the acquittal of the prisoner on the ground of insanity. It will be seen that the Court and Jury took nearly the mune view of the case which we hazarded, in an endea- vour to find a way for common sense through the mass of penny-a- line rubbish which filled the journals, at the date of the pistol- shooting, and when our " coolness" gave so much umbrage to ardent Ministerial contemporaries.
