'This is certainly not up to the standard of the "Pseudonym Library," the series to which it belongs. Compare it with "Mademoiselle Ixe," for instance, or "A Russian Priest"! There is an interesting Nihilist, an exceptionally foolish English girl who falls in love with him, and an odious woman to whom he is bound. All the decent people are, of course, commonplace, if not repulsive.
