am afraid that, even apart from its practical difficulties, Mr. Cox's proposal would not bring about a final solution of the Irish problem. One of the strongest planks in the political platform of the Irish Republican party is that entitled "No Partition "; and the cry finds an echo in the hearts of many Irishmen who would be moderate in their views if they were allowed to be. The Sinn Feiners will not be satisfied until they have the whole of Ireland under their domination, and as long as any area is excluded from their jurisdiction some form of agitation both at home and abroad is certain to continue.—
