ARRESTEES' CHILDREN

SIR,—Last Christmas many messages of support were sent through us to house-arrestees in South Africa. Hundreds of political leaders are held without trial in South Africa's prisons whilst others are on trial for their lives. With one or both parents im- prisoned. their children are deprived of the normal family life and security of childhood. We can supply names and addresses of some of these children and we invite your readers to send Christmas greetings to them this year.

Others, who may wish to contribute to the welfare of the detainees and their children, should send donations to the Defence and Aid Fund, Christian Action, 2 Amen Court, EC4. Copies of petitions calling for the release of all political prisoners in South Africa are available from our office.
