saying that this subject, and the allied subjects—contraception and abortion—are very commonly considered as if man was no more than an intelligent animal ? If our life in God is realized—that in Christ there is a victory of one kind or another over all the consequences of sin— victory in bearing or victory by removal ; that pain has a remedial power ; that in Christ there is a victory over all wrong use of natural powers, including sex powers, we should have little difficulty in coming to conclusions very different from those at which too many are now arriving.—I am,
