Memorial services to Lord Kitchener were held in several places

on Tuesday, but the chief one was that at St. Paul's. The King and Queen, Queen Alexandra, and distinguished repre- sentatives of the Services, of Diplomacy, of the Government, and indeed of every department of public life wore present. The service was woaderfully impressive in its simplicity. At a soldier's funeral the most moving ceremony is the sounding of the " Last Post." This was performed by the buglers of the Irish Guards. Although St. Paul's was full to overflowing, the congregation was only a fraction of those who wished to express their sorrow, as was shown by the multitude of mourners in the streets.
