It is said that the King of Holland has finally
rejected the pro- position of the German Diet for the adjustment of the territorial question with Belgium. His refusal has called forth energetic observations from some of the Dutch newspapers, on the folly of cherishing the idea that the Belgic provinces can be restored to Holland, and the injury to the Dutch from the continuance of the ltatu quo; of which, it is said, they have all the disadvantages.
