The Geographical Journal for March contains a detailed account by
Mr. J. M. Wordie, with a map, of Jan Mayen Island, which was once an important whaling centre and is now used by the Norwegians as a meteorological observatory and wireless station. Dr. Henry 0. Forbes discusses "The Topography of Caesar's Last Campaign Against the Bellovaei," and proves that the campaign was not fought on the lower Aisne, as the accepted authorities declare ; Dr. Forbes regards the problem as insoluble.
