PRAYERS FOR ANIMALS

SIR,—I am anxious to find some prayers and bless- ings for animals (in general or in particular) and also some prayers for our own right relation to animals: prayers and blessings (not meditations, re- flections or exhortations) of any age, culture or re- ligion, and in any language. They might be in the form of poems: James Stephens, for instance, has a very beautiful poem, praying that the lamp by which he writes at night may not harm the moths.
