WHITEHALL, 18th July 1834.—The King has been pleased to direct letters patent to be issued. grautiug the dignity of a Baron of the United Kingdom to the Right Ha nourable JOHN WILLIAM PONSONBY, commonly called Viscount Duncannon, and the heirs male of his body lawfully begotten. by the name, style, and title of Baron Dots. CANNON of Besborough, in the county or Kilkenny. July 14th.—The King has been pleased to direct letters patent to be passed under the Great Seal for granting the dignity of a Baronet of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland to STEPHEN Lovx II AM MICK, of Cavendish Square, in the county of Middlesex, Esq., surgeon; and to the heirs male of his body lawfully be. gotten. July l8th.—The King has been pleased to grant unto CHARLES KERRY WHITAKER. of Hyde Park Lane, Geut., his Royal licence that he may, from respect to the memory of his late male, Admiral Sir HENRY N icnoLts of Clifton, county of Gloucester, K.C.B., take and use the surname of NICHOLLS instead of that of WHITAKER.
