MEDICAL DEPARTMENT OF THE ARMY.

Sin—I beg to correct some of the errors in A Physician's letter inserted in your last number. In the first place, the principal medical officer at the seat of war has not resigned in disgust.

Sir James M`Grigor never was at the seat of war when Director-Ge- neral. Nor is the present Director-General devoid of experience. Neither has there been any mismanagement of the department ; but, on the con- trary, a large and most efficient staff of medical officers has been organized, and every want provided for by the unwearied exertions of the present Di- rector-General.
