The Times of Tuesday published a letter from Mr. Ernest

Law protesting against the uncouth " gyratory " to express the new circulating traffic arrangementi, when the simple English word " roundabout " is available. We agree and note with interest that Colonel Ashley has now taken in his Parliamentary answers to referring to " the roundabout system."
