The opening of the Lyceum on Monday was unaccompanied by novelty. Nevertheless, it was refreshing to behold the extra-polished glibness of Mr. C. Mathews, in that admirable comedy The Game of Speculation, and to hear Madame Vestrie, with voice as rich and mellow as ever, when she stood conspicuous among the vocalists of the national anthem.
