VANISHING MISTLETOE.
How is it that mistletoe is vanishing from England ? It used to grow on many more species of tree and in much greater quantity, though never perhaps as freely as it grows on the black poplars by the Aisne or in Normandy. Is it that we discourage it as a destructive parasite ? It is not wholly a parasite or very destructive ; and birds will agree with botanists that it is worth active cultivation. ' - W.- REACH THOMAS;
