St. Cecilia

BY ribbons of silv'ry sound

Rippling in raptured air, Is Harmony's circlet bound In St. Cecilia's hair.

The myriad songbirds sweet

Trilling with ardent fire The wakening day to greet,

Are St. Cecilia's choir.

With glowing and vibrant beams Stringing Night's harp, she plays---. From radiant sunset streams Her evening hymn of praise.
