SIR,—Qucequeg was, of course, right when he said ('Spectator's Notebook,' June 15) that the recent incidents in Germany did not reflect credit on the British Army.

Does he, I wonder, consider that his unwarranted and tasteless slur upon the regiment with which I was privileged to serve reflects credit upon either himself or the Spectator?
