The Manchester Regiment Gazette (Manchester : Sherratt and Hughes, 2s.)
has entered on itesecond year, and has developed into an interesting and comprehensive record of the battalions, now eight in number owing to the amalgamation of the 6th and 7th. General Westropp contributes some noteworthy extracts from the trials of officers of a "Manchester Regiment" raised for service under the Young Pretender in 1745.
