T. Wilkinson. (Athenaeum Literature Department. Is. 6d.)—The Chairman of the York Education Committee has done a service in preparing this annotated edition of the Education Act. The new statute opens the way to great reforms, if full advantage is taken of its provisions. But teachers and parents and the public in general will have to show a lively interest in the subject if the local Education Authorities are to be stimulated to a full use of their new and extensive powers.
