The Syston book-sale has yielded the two greatest book-prices on
record,—the price of the splendid " Psalmortun Codex" of 1459, printed by Fust and Schoeffer, having even exceeded that of the "Mazarin Bible" by £1,050. The latter (the "Mazarin Bible ") fetched £3,900, while the " Psalmorum Codex" of 1459 fetched yesterday week, £4,950,—both these costly books having been purchased by Mr. Quaritch.
