NIGHT OUT. By Rupert Croft-Cooke. (Jarrolds. 7s. 6d.) —A legacy
of five hundred pounds and a vague longing for " life itself," as revealed, by posters and cinemas, inspire a young shop assistant to leave his lodgings in a hurry. -The tale of MK Week-end adventures, beginning with dinner at Claridge's and ending with conversation at a coffee stall, is amusingly written. The authorleavens his sympathy with cynicism.
