[To the Editor of the SPECTATOR.] SIR,—The interesting article in
the Spectator of October 20th on farming in Denmark does not mention the fact that about seven millions sterling's worth of cereals and seeds are imported into Denmark annually (see Almanach de Gotha for 1923, p. 827). This means that Denmark, which only has a little over three million inhabitants, by no means succeeds in feeding herself. —I am, Sir, &c., Travellers' Club, Pall Mall, S.W. I.
