It must have been a dreadful experience for any Americans

in England listening to the news bulletin on Sunday evening to hear' the announcer speak of the cruise of the President and the Prime Minister on what he most deplorably 'called the Pot-tomae. The PotOmac, with the longest-drawn 0 in the middle that the vocal organs can frame, is as famous in a different way as the Mississippi, and a man who can miscall it is clearly capable of doing anything with, say, Arkansas or Seattle or Spuyten Duyvil.
