The fact cannot be generally known that the spot in
Highgate Cemetery occupied by the remains of the late Mrs. Warner, one of the most esteemed of modern actresses, is not indicated by so much as a com- mon tombstone. It is unnecessary to state that the lady was one of the most valuable members of Mr. Macready's company both at Covent Garden and at Drury Lane, and that she cooperated with Mr. Phelps in promoting the dramatic reform of Sadler's Wells.
