(Hodder and Stoughton. 12s. 6d. net.)—This book contains the Willy-Nicky " correspondence brought from Russia by Mr. Levine and published last year in the Morning Post. As a revela- tion of the ex-Kaiser's character and of his devious diplomacy, especially in 1904-5 during the Japanese War, the correspondence is of great historical interest and well deserved re-publication in a permanent form. Unlike most documents of the kind published in the last few years, the letters have been edited in a scholarly fashion, and Mr. Grant has prefixed a short intro- duction.
