Sir: You are swamping us with articles den- igrating the Prime Minister. They make amusing reading, but there is one basic assumption at which I balk. You seem to take it for granted that what the United Kingdom needs is a charismatic leader. No, sir, we do not. We need less bureaucracy, 'Make sure Prince Charles feels at home ignore him.' less interference, less legislation, less blud- geoning. We wish to be left free to live as we think best. If a party came into being which announced that, if elected, it would do nothing for five years except repeal at least half the laws on the Statute Book, I would vote for it at once. I do not think I would be alone.
