Int Claud, The King visited town on Wednesday—for what purpose,

the Court Newsman does not say, nor have we the means of supplying the omis- sion. He returned to Windsor in the evening. This is the one only event of the Court week.

As Prince George of Cumberland was swinging a purse with some silver in it round his head, at Kew, on Friday the 14th, a gold acorn attached to the purse flew off, and, struck him in the left eye—he has lost the use of the right—with considerable force. The injury was so serious as to require the attendance of Mr. Alexander, Mr. Travers, and Sir W. Waller. It was at first supposed the sight of the eye might be endangered, but-of this there is now no apprehension.
