BLINDNESS. By Henry Green. (Dent. 7s. 6d. net.)—This- is a

"human document "—the story of a very normal, rather likeable big schoolboy who is blinded by accident. He tries to adjust himself to calamity. His well-meaning, stupid stepmother clumsily attempts to help him, but only hurts his feelings. He even ventures a half-hearted romance with a village girl. The hopelessness of it all is effectively conveyed and the book has cleverness as well as pathos.
