We may here take occasion to correct our statement that
strikers at Fish guard were "dispersed by Territorials with fixed bayonets." As a matter of fact we are informed that the strikers were dispersed by thirty-five regulars returning off furlough and belonging to various regiments. They were commanded by two regular officers returning off leave, who borrowed rifles from a neighbouring Territorial depot, and whose prompt and effective intervention will, we trust, secure due recognition at headquarters.
