Life of Hiuen - Tsiang. By S. Beal. (Triibner and Co.)—This is

a translation of the life, or one might very well say, the adven- tures, of the "Master of the Law," by two Shamans. Hiuen- Tsiang, in the year 630 A.D., started on a great journey to the West to solve some of his doubts, India, of course, being his destination. The narrative of his adventures is often interspersed with fanciful and striking legends ; otherwise it is not likely to- interest any but the Oriental scholar.
