A DISTRESS-FUND FOR INDIA.

SIR,—In common with a number of Anglo-Indians, I beg to ex- press our entire concurrence in the sentiments so well expressed by Mr. Baldwin Brown in your issue of the 28th ult., and to say that we are only waiting for the announcement of such a distress- fund as he proposes to forward our contributions towards it.—I
