been passed and in Britain there have been proposed regulations requiring all passenger and many cargo steamers to be fitted with "wireless" telegraphy. These regulations have naturally greatly benefited the Marconi company, and the possibility of such is an additional reason why men in authority should not dabble in shares of the benefiting companies. The recent boat regulations have enormously benefited the makers of particular boats. What would have been thought if Mr. Buxton or any Board of Trade officials had shares in the boat-making companies P—I am, Sir,
