Cameo Book-Stamps. By Cyril Davenport (E. Arnold. 21s. net.)—The compiler

of this book has made a collection of the embossed stamps used as the centrepieces of bindings of old books, English, French, German, and Italian. The latter show the best designs, though the English heraldic work is often beautiful. Mr. Davenport has found it best to draw the cameos in outline for reproduction rather than use photography.
