On the 5th July, at Wanganui, New Zealand, Frederick Wemyss, Lieutenant E31.'s 66th Regiment, son of Lieutenant-General Wemyss, C.D.; in his 26th year On the 15th September, of cholera, at Calcutta, Lieutenant-Colonel William Grant Prendergast, Bengal Cavalry, youngest son of the late General Sir Jeffery Prendergast ; to his 43d year.
On the 18th, at Allahabad, of dysentery, after a very short illness, Thomas James Guthoit, M.B., Assistant-Surgeon 11.E.I.C. Service, son of Thomas Duthoit, of the Bank of England.
On the 1st October, at Colin Campbell, Esq., late Physician-General in Bengal ; in his Slat year. Brighton, 90 the 2d, at the residence of her uncle, Captain W. Hoseason, Malta, Maria, shiest daughter of the late Thomas Hoseasou, Esq., Colonial Secretary at Sierra Leone.
_On the 95th, at his seat, Gilgarran, near Whitehaven, James Robertson Walker, 5.99., a Captain in the Royal Navy, and a Justice of the Peace for the County of Cumberland. Captain Robertson Walker served under Nelson in the Victory, at Trafaigar, and, with the exception of the boatswain, was the only one out of sixty , killed on the forecastle at the commencement of the battle who was not either killed or wounded ; in his 76th year. _ On the 29th, at his residence, 2, Devonport Villas, Stamford Road, Kingsland, lob Hoskin, Esq., R.N. late Superintendent of Her Majesty's Revenue Cruisers ; in his 90th year. 9,6 the 31st, in Gloucester Terrace, Hyde Park, Major-General Sir William Reid, B..E., late Governor of Malta ; in his 67th year. On the 2d November, at Cotgrave, the Venerable T. H. Browne, M.A., Archdeaec of Ely and Rector of Cotgrave ; in his 79th year. On the 3d, at Barr House, Bishops Hull, Taunton, after a long illness, Isabella Ann, widow of the late Colonel Sir Charles W. Dance, KAI.; in her 63d year.
