These speeches, as well as that of M. Sazonoff foreshadowing
a still closer alliance with Japan, were repeated by the Ministers to the Council of Empire. It should be added that speakers of all parties welcomed the renewed declaration of the Government regarding the autonomy of Poland. On Tuesday the Durum adopted an Order of the day, proposed by Count Bohrinsky in the name of the Centre group, the Octobrists and the Nationalists, affirming the unshakable and unanimous resolution of the whole Russian people to continue the struggle until final success was attained, and not to conclude peace before victory was complete.
