GAS LIGHT AND COKE.
The comparatively mild weather in the South of England would seem to have affected the earnings of the Gas Light and Coke Company, the Report showing a slight falling off in con- sumption, notwithstanding the fact that the actual number of consumers increased. But while the gross revenue for the year declined by about £200,000, economies were effected, and the net revenue was only down about 273,000. The dividend was maintained, but the carry forward is slightly reduced.
