The Prince 'of Wales, as chief guest at the ninety-second
anniversary dinner of the 'Printers' Pension Corporation in
the Connaught Rooms on Friday week, made a graceful speech in acknowledging the toast of the World's Peace. He began by thanking the meeting for choosing him as the next President of the Corporation, and then remarked that it was difficult to realize that we could now drink to the World's Peace. Ger- many's terms of Peace, no doubt duly pigeon-holed in Berlin, " would have put us all to a great deal of inconvenience." Printers would have disliked setting up German declarations ; instead they were producing a very good British paper in Cologne. To secure peace we required wisdom, patience, energy, and courage. He hoped that Britain would save herself by her exertions, and help to save humanity by her example.
