AN INDISPENSABLE WORK.
With each year the value of that stupendous work, the Stock Exchange Official Intelligence, increases, and the reason is to be found not only in the importance of information which it contains, but in its superb accuracy. I should like to congratulate the compilers and publishers upon the supple- mentary index which accompanies the present volume. It consists of a record of all the companies which have ceased to exist, either through winding up, amalgamation or other cause, and against each company is placed a reference to the latest mention made of the concern in the volumes of the Stock Exchange Official Intelligence,' the volume and page being mentioned.
