Lady Dilke's French Decoration and Furniture in the Eighteenth Century
(G. Bell and Sons, 28s.) is a continuation of her studies of French art. The volume is full of information and of illustra- tions, and will no doubt please those whose tastes lie in this direc- tion. To many these works appear merely as soulless perfection of workmanship applied to tame and monotonous design.
