Dod's Parliamentary Companion for 1919 (Sir Isaac Pitman and Sons,

6e. net), now in its eighty-seventh year, has been corrected up to the middle of February and notes the by-elections then pending. Its short biographies of Members, especially of the Sinn Feiner;, are well worth reading. The Sinn Feb leader, it is stated, was born in New York ; he does not appear to have been naturalized. A useful summary of the Reform Act is given, with some particulars of the finance of the war.
