Penny Royal. By J. B. Morton. (Philip Allan and Co.
6s. 6d. net.)—A wholly delightful book for an odd moment. Mr. Morton has the rare power of handing on his good humour to the reader, and this light-hearted account of what five men did and thought, together with the songs they sang during long tramps in the country, could hardly be bettered. Incidentally, it is an example of digression elevated to a literary art.
